Engineering Coach – Muscatel Middle School Science Olympiad Coach
• Volunteer as engineering coach for the Nationally ranked Middle School Science Olympiad team.
• Volunteer every Saturdays and available holidays from 8-5 during the competition season (September – May) to prepare team for regional, state, and national competition.

Suggested Award Summary:

Brian Phan has been an active member of LA YMF since 2014. His contributions to our K-12 outreach program have been essential to engaging students and introducing them to a career in Civil Engineering. Brian is a coach for the Muscatel Middle School Science Olympiad and has guided the team to win multiple state championship titles. He is also a founder and adviser to the Rosemead High School ASCE Civil Engineering club, the first of its kind in Southern California.
