| Details | GORILLA BRIDGE BARRIER RETROFIT-SAN DIEGO SAFARI PARK Volunteers from the local chapters of ASCE and EWB OC are joining together to retrofit barriers to the existing Gorilla Bridge at the San Diego Safari Park. The bridge was originally built to carrry the monorail through the park and now is being repurposed for pedestrian and small vehicle use. Flatiron has generously donated their expertise to install the vehicle barriers and the weekend of June 1-2 we will install the pedestrian barriers. Due to this being a construction project Safety is a top concern. PPE Equipment (hard hat, eye protection, ear protection, and gloves) is required. A waiver is required to participate and volunteers must be 18+.
