The Air Transport Technical Group conducts bimonthly luncheon meetings, usually on the third Tuesdays of the odd numbered months. The purpose of the meetings is to have presentations on aviation related subjects by guest speakers who are experts or specialists in those subject areas. The subject areas most frequently presented are airport facilities planning and design, aircraft characteristics, Federal Aviation Administration requirements and design criteria.
The luncheon meetings are held at the Proud Bird restaurant, 11022 Aviation Boulevard, Los Angeles, California 90045, which is located two miles southeast of the Los Angeles International Airport Central Terminal Area. Please contact one of the members of the Board of Directors to be placed on the mailing list.
In lieu of a luncheon meeting in July, there is usually a field trip to a place of interest to the aviation related project managers. Past field trips have been to airport terminals and other airport facilities, airline training facilities (including airline flight simulators), aircraft manufacturing facilities, aircraft maintenance facilities, and FAA flight control facilities (including control towers).
