Details | ABOUT THE PRESENTATION There is an extremely good fit between Fiber-Reinforced Polymer (FRP) composites and our nation’s infrastructure needs, today and in the future. This presentation will illustrate that fit by educating the audience about the benefits and applications of FRP composites and connecting them to ASCE’s 2021 Infrastructure Report Card and various scenarios described in ASCE’s Future World Vision. ABOUT THE SPEAKER Joe Fox — FX Consulting Joe Fox is a consultant for the specialty chemicals and materials industries. He is a chemist by training and has a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Lehigh University and a PhD in chemistry from Penn State. He is a 40-year veteran of the chemicals industry, having worked at Standard Oil of Ohio, BP America, Ashland Chemical and INEOS Composites. Joe is a member of ASCE and the American Composite Manufacturers Association (ACMA). He is an active member of ACMA’s committee focused on spurring the use of fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) composites in Infrastructure applications. Joe also serves as director of the Miracle League of Central Ohio, a baseball league for special needs children throughout the Columbus area. Joe and his wife Susan live in Dublin, Ohio.
