| Details | The ASCE LA Section Sustainability Committee and ASCE MLAB Sustainability Committee are working together to organize a group to attend the Great LA River CleanUp: Compton Creek at Del Amo Metro Station on Saturday, July 17. We recognize that the previous time slot from 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM is full, so we will be adding the next time slot: 2 PM-3:30 PM for anyone who is still interested in volunteering. There will be a LA Section Committee member present for each time slot to ensure that our groups meet up at 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM. This event will be an in-person trash cleanup at Compton Creek hosted by Friends of LA River in partnership with LA Waterkeeper. If you are interested in volunteering or would like more information, please visit the website below. Please email Trina Lai, trina.lai@lacity.org with a confirmation that you have signed up to volunteer and let her know in the email if you want to carpool. We will follow COVID-19 protocols (masks on, windows open, social distancing) if you are interested in carpooling.
