Description
The 2026 ASCE LA Section’s Excellence in Journalism Award goes to Chris Greenspon of Streetsblog Los Angeles. Since 2022, Chris has brought a hyperlocal quality to SBLA’s coverage of the San Gabriel Valley, through dense online coverage of ongoing multimodal projects, affordable housing development, and new parks for the region. He also has stepped up the outlet’s audio production, coming from a background in public radio as well as the award winning documentary podcast, SGV Weekly. Chris is a proud alumnus of Mt. San Antonio College, where he found his passion for journalism, radio, and the suburbs of Southern California.
